1940s Homefront Festival

Experience life in the 1940s at the National D-Day Memorial’s annual family-fun event, formerly known as Family Day!   The festival is Saturday, July 15 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 Meet World War II veterans, talk with living history interpreters, view the Virginia WWI 100th and WWII 75th Anniversary Commission Profiles of Honor mobile museum, listen to 1940s musical performances by The Star City Starlettes, browse the Bedford Farmers Market, and so much more! Uprooted food truck will be on site with delicious farm to table lunch offerings.

Adult admission is $5. Veterans and students 18 and under receive free admission. Active duty and reserve military service members and up to five family members receive free admission underthe Blue Star Museum program (Memorial Day through Labor Day.)
