65th Anniversary of D-Day Commemoration at the National D-Day Memorial

· Gate opens at 8:30 AM for public access.
· No admittance to the National D-Day Memorial Site will be granted except for:
§ Pedestrian traffic
§ Chartered buses
§ Personal vehicles bearing NDDMF issued passes
§ Police / Fire / Rescue
· All other vehicles will need to park at designated offsite parking lots and ride the provided bus transport to the site. Please note that two of our designated offsite lots are for those needing handicap accessibility only.

Last bus leaves from offsite lots to Memorial 10:45 AM
Ceremony of Commemoration 11:00 AM
First bus leaves from Memorial to offsite lots 12:30 PM
Last bus leaves from Memorial to offsite lots 4:00 PM
· Please allow adequate time for your arrival and departure from the offsite parking, the buses will not wait.
· All vehicles and persons on the site may be subject to search at any time.
· No weapons, coolers, chairs, packages, pets, umbrellas or backpacks will be permitted.
· Because the memorial is an outdoor facility, please consult weather forecasts in deciding on warm, wet, or cool weather attire. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and hats are recommended during sunny weather.
· The Gift Store and food concessions will be open from 8:30 AM until 11:00 AM. They both will be closed during the ceremony out of respect for our veterans. The store will reopen at the conclusion of the ceremony and remain open until 10:00 PM. The concessions will also reopen and will stop serving food at 3:00 PM. The concessions will continue to serve drinks until closing.
· The lower level parking on the site will open to the general public upon the closure of the Emergency Operations Command Post. This could be as late as 2:30 PM.
· The memorial site will close at 10:00 PM.
