The National D-Day Memorial is a private, non-profit organization that receives no federal funding. All fees go toward the operation and security of the site so that it can be properly preserved and maintained for future generations. Without a nominal entrance fee, the Memorial would be unable to operate.

The National D-Day Memorial is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10AM-5PM. The Memorial is closed on Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The Memorial closes at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Also, periodic closings are possible due to systems maintenance and inclement weather. NOTE: Guided walking tours are approximately 45 minutes in length and leave on the half-hour from the deck area of the Gift Store. Admission and tour tickets must be purchased at the Bedford Area Welcome Center (located at the foot of the Memorial.)
Mobility assistance: Wheelchairs are on loan for FREE. We do have a limited number of shuttle carts available for the disabled for an additional fee.

Self-guided tours of the memorial are available to all visitors. Visitors can stroll the grounds with site-brochures that offer information on the architecture and various representations of the memorial.
