The Traveling Professor: Tours to Paris and the Normandy Invasion Beaches

You’ve got some interest in what happened in Normandy in June 1944, we presume—otherwise you probably wouldn’t be reading this blog. Ever want to go there, and see those hallowed beaches in person? Your chance to do just that—and support the National D-Day Memorial Foundation at the same time—is here!
The National D-Day Memorial Foundation is pleased to offer an inspiring tour of Normandy and Paris through our partner, the Traveling Professor. On this trip of a lifetime, you will walk the sands of Utah and Omaha Beaches…experience the vantage point of the liberators as their landing-craft ramps dropped into the surf…visit the still-intact enemy bunkers…stare down the cliffs scaled by the Rangers at Pointe du Hoc…walk through liberated villages still scarred by the ferocious fighting…stand on the hallowed ground where “The Bedford Boys” sacrificed all they could as the first wave of invaders at Vierville Draw. You will go home even more inspired by the historic role of the Greatest Generation!

This 8-night tour, staying in charming, clean, comfortable, quiet hotels in safe, central locations, includes four nights in the heart of Paris to experience all the splendor of the City of Lights! After Paris, you’ll experience unforgettable Normandy, staying in the historic village of Bayeux at the renowned Hotel Churchill for 4 nights. You’ll be traveling in private luxury vans that will take you right to the beaches and other places where those big bus tours can’t go…we assure that this private tour, with professional guides, offers the most intimate look possible, and provides the most adequate time at the Normandy Invasion Beaches and surrounding areas. Each traveler will be issued a 4-day Paris Museum Pass allowing admission to over 60 top attractions including the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Pantheon, Centre Pompidou, Rodin Museum, Napoleon’s Tomb, Arc de Triomphe, Conciergerie, Cluny Museum, Picasso Museum, Orangerie Museum and more with NO waiting in line.  In Normandy, admission is included to all sites on the itinerary. The cost for this unforgettable experience is only $2,999 per person, double occupancy.  Stay extra nights for only $139 per person, double occupancy. This trip is perfect for solo travelers as well, at a single supplement of only $395.
Furthermore, a portion of your cost goes to support the educational efforts of the National D-Day Memorial!
In addition, travelers will receive a copy of The Bedford Boys by Alex Kershaw in advance of the tour, and a special Juno Beach Membership to the National D-Day Memorial.
