“Reflections on D-Day 75 Years Later: An Interview with D-Day Veteran Hilman Prestridge”

Join the National D-Day Memorial for a special interview of D-Day veteran Hilman Prestridge as he reflects on his military service 75 years later. Hilman Prestridge, an Army Private First Class, fought with the amphibious force attached to the 1st Army and came ashore at Omaha Beach in the first wave. He fought at Normandy and St. Lo. As a result of his service, he received a Presidential Citation, European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon, and Service Unit Badge.

Our Lunchbox Lecture Series is free of charge, although donations are appreciated. Guests are welcome to bring lunch to enjoy during the programs. If you are not able to attend, each lecture is also available in real-time and following the event through Facebook Live.
