What if I am traveling with a pet?
Please be advised that, in general, the central aspect of the Memorial is off limits to pets and animals of any kind. The central part of the Memorial encompasses the sidewalks and all the grounds interior to the circular parking lot. There is occasion, however, when a service animal or other authorized animal may need to be on the site with the patron. We do not limit the access of these service animals.
For those traveling with pets, we ask that you consider the welfare of your pet when you travel to our site. Some of you may opt to keep your pet in your personal vehicle in a cool place with adequate water. For your convenience, we do have a limited number of animal crates available in our shaded kennel area. Please let the ticketing attendant know about your particular circumstance so that they may be able to check on availability of the crates for your visit. All patrons who have animals on site need to have them on a leash. Please ask site staff where you may walk your pet.
