Looking for a unique volunteer opportunity where you can meet people from all over the world? Are you interested in history or tourism? Why not spend some time at the National D-Day Memorial? It's a rewarding experience and a great way to give thanks to our veterans.
Volunteers play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the Memorial. Through the time and commitment of Volunteers, the Foundation is able to provide a memorable experience for visitors. The National D-Day Memorial offers an array of volunteer opportunities. Current opportunities for volunteers include:
• Tour Guides
• Ticket Booth Attendants/Greeters
• Educational Program Assistants
• Gift Shop Attendants
• Student Volunteers
• Research Assistants
Volunteers must complete 25 hours of training and commit to volunteering at least one shift (4 hours) per month. Additional training is required for some positions. Volunteer training is held each year in late February for prospective volunteers who wish to learn more.
If you are interested in sharing your time, energy, and knowledge with the National D-Day Memorial or would like additional information on volunteer opportunities, please call 540-587-3619.
