Kyle Petty Charity Ride Revival – Fan Photos

Tuesday, September 21, 2021

The National D-Day Memorial is stop one on the Kyle Petty “Charity Ride Revival (CRR),” a one-time only, miniature version of his annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. The CRR was created in response to postponing the larger Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America until Spring 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Join us as riders arrive on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. The Memorial event is from 11:45AM-2:00PM (approximately) and includes a meet and greet with celebrity riders including:

Kyle Petty – Former NASCAR driver, NBC Sports racing analyst, and host of “Dinner Drive with Kyle Petty”

Richard Petty (“The King”) – 7-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion

Harry Gant – Legendary former NASCAR driver

David Ragan – Recently retired NASCAR driver

Rick Allen – NBC Sports broadcaster

The CRR Team: Morgan Petty (holding Cotten Petty), Ginny Talley, and Kyle Petty checking out the National D-Day Memorial

The CRR will continue the Ride’s mission of raising funds and awareness for Victory Junction – a camp dedicated to providing life-changing camping experiences for children with chronic and serious medical illnesses. Victory Junction has served as the Ride’s primary beneficiary since its establishment by Petty and his family in 2004 in honor of his late son, Adam. To date, the Ride has raised more than $19 million for Victory Junction and other children’s charities.

Note from Kyle Petty Charity Ride Revival Regarding Meet and Greet

Please read carefully. Due to COVID-19, we will not be holding a celebrity autograph session at our daily pit stops. Instead, fans will be permitted to participate in a monitored PHOTO SESSION with celebrity riders. During the Photo Session, a photographer will be on-hand to capture fan photos with the CRR Celebrity Riders. These photos will be available to download online following each event. Fans will also receive pre-autographed Hero Cards, signed by each celebrity rider, to take home with them.

See the No. 18 D-Day Chevrolet!

This car, created in honor of the 60th Anniversary of D-Day, ran at the MBNA 400 “A SALUTE TO HEROES” race at Dover International Speedway on June 6, 2004.

Driven by Bobby Labonte for Joe Gibbs Racing, the number 18 features a distinct military paint scheme with the words “We will accept nothing less than full victory,” spoken by General Eisenhower in the leadup to the invasion of Normandy. The car sports the Memorial’s early logo on both rear quarter panels.
