Purchase a Luminaria

Luminarias are sold throughout the year and will be displayed on December 2-4, 2022 during the National D-Day Memorial’s Flames of Memory event.

Each luminaria costs $20 or 6 luminarias for $100. All gifts are tax-deductible and all proceeds benefit Memorial operations and educational programming.

Luminarias can be purchased in honor or memory of anyone, D-Day veteran or not, and quantity purchases are welcome.

To guarantee names will appear in the printed program, please return form and payment by November 29, 2022.

Flames of Memory

December 2-4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Admission to the event is free; donations are welcome.

As twilight deepens and obscures the Blue Ridge, the Memorial will honor the 4,415 men killed on D-Day. Arranged throughout the Memorial’s grounds, thousands of luminarias will shine in recognition of Overlord’s fallen and in tribute to the ultimate sacrifice each made to relight the lamp of freedom.

The Memorial is supported by contributions to the National D-Day Memorial Foundation a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization.
